We are looking for a "Workshop Manager" for a company which is a leading global supplier of products and solutions for heat transfer, separation and fluid handling through them key products-heat exchangers, separators, pumps and valves since 1883.
 
The company currently play a vital role in areas that are crucial for society, such as energy optimization, environmental protection and food production. Products are used in the manufacturing of food, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, starch, sugar and ethanol. Also used in nuclear power, onboard vessels; and in the engineering sector, mining industry and refinery sector as well as treating wastewater and creating a comfortable indoor climate. 

The company is known for focusing on innovation and new ways of thinking since its inception. Our client is currently holds more than 2000 patents, and invests approximately 2.5 percent of its sales in research and development launching between 35 and 40 new products every year. The company have 42 major production units (15 in Europe, 8 in Asia, 4 in the US and 1 in Latin America). The company has over 18 000 employees, the majority of whom are located in Sweden, Denmark, India, China, The US and France.

Job Description:
 
  • Responsible for the overall performance and development of the workshop. Drive and support the workshop so it has the right resources (machinery, people etc..) and competence to achieve long term sustainable business results. End-to-end supply chain responsible,
  • Responsible for the overall performance, output and development of the workshop,
  • Responsible for the overall safety and quality of the processes and products,
  • Set and follow up overall targets, 
  • Drive the development of the workshop and the people,
  • Make quarterly operational plan,
  • Be responsible for P3 for the workshop ,
  • Decide and implement the Vital Few for the workshop,  
  • Implement policies, standards, values and culture,
  • Secure good cooperation with all the stakeholders,
  • Act as part of the management team,
  • Provide the workshop with relevant information,
  • Secure the result of Continuous Improvement activities, such as ALPS, LSS, 5S etc,
  • Perform audits according to ALPS, 
  • Responsible for that ALPS Supply chain processes are implemented and maintained,
  • Responsible for supplier development activities together with support functions
Position Requirements :
 
  • Graduated from a reputable university, Engineering or equivalent,
  • Advanced level of English both written and spoken,
  • 5+ years of experience from managerial position within a production/manufacturing company, 
  • Experience from change management, project management and 5S, Six Sigma,
  • Financial competence.
